The Biggest Name on the Rumor Mill that has braves fans wanting Wren to work something out to get him is Jake Peavy. Granted he does have a NTC but he has been a Braves fan and is locked up through '12 with an option for '13. $17M in '13 is going to be relatively cheap for top line starter like Peavy. Then we can get some one like Lowe, who has said he would like to pitch in Atlanta, he does eat up innings. Then Jurrjens can settle back into the 3 spot, Hammy if we signed him to the league min. with incentives. Then went with Morton in the 5th spot. If we let Huddy take 09 completely off, insurance covers him. Let him heal completely from TJ surgery. Then we can look for the power hitting LF. Marlins look as if they don't want to go arbitration with some of their top guys like Jacobs, Uggla, Willingham, Hermida, Olson. If we traded KJ to another team, imagine trying to get Uggla, he would be owed arbitration, he would be cheap. Any thoughts, Burrell would be my chose for LF. |
