WOW...what a beginning to the season. Tom Brady gone for the season with a knee injury but I find it funny the Patriots will not disclose what type of knee injury it is? Some are speculating it is a torn ACL. Panthers come back in the last 2 seconds to beat the Chargers. That was probably the best game on Sunday. Favre being Favre on Sunday for the JETS not the Packers. DaBears beating the Colts, somewhat shocking. Green Bay, lead by Aaron Rodgers, beat the Vikings. This could be a very interesting season especially now the Pats are without Brady and they didn't go with a backup plan and don't plan to bring anyone in, this according to Bill B. IMO, bad move, what if Matt Cassel goes down. What in the heck is Bill B. thinking? |

Breaking News: Shawn Merriman of the Chargers has decided to have that season-ending knee surgery after playing in just one game. He has informed the team of this decision. I think Merriman woke up and realized that he would not just be hurting himself but hurting the guys he plays with if he wasn't 100%. Now this thing with Vince Young, family and friends were worried enough to call the Titans about his mental state who involved the police, who found him at a friend's house. Between getting hurt and not doing well in the game, he was getting booed on the field. Young needs to learn, you get hurt and you have bad games but the fans of your team expect more of you and if you don't deliver, you will get those boos. You have to move pass them. Young took them personally then getting hurt just added more pressure which he couldn't handle. Time to grow up, he has been in this league 3 yrs now, he should be able to deal with the boos by now. |

How many people would have thought that the Titans would be undefeated at this stage of the season, Pats, Colts and Chargers struggling big time and the Dolphins have won more than 1 game including beating the Pats already once this season? Several coaches have been fired and 1 GM, Matt "Can't draft at all" Millen who should have canned a while back and Roy Williams, WR traded to the Cowboys. Numerous injuries hitting teams, this has been one weird season so far. |

Well once the Titans got smart and benched Young, ya, they became a great team. And speaking of injuries...my poor Broncos....5 defensive starters out...the top 3 running backs on the team down with season ending injuries. Ugh! |

Could we possibly go back to back with undefeated teams? Who would have thought Kerry Collins would be leading the Titans to this type of records? I bet Young is kicking himself in the ass. As for the Broncos, losing 1 or 2 RB is tough but 3 is down right rough. I think some of the surprise teams, both good and bad, have to be, the Dolphins and Titans for the good in the AFC. Cards and Giants for the NFC. Rams and Cowboys are the two bad teams in the NFC. Raiders,Browns and Bengals are the worse in the AFC. This should be an exciting 6 weeks to go. |
