Before anyone gets all excited over this news, I was reading on Bill Shanks' site, someone sited the Trenton News with the source of the information, whether it is true or not is another thing. Bill Shanks has not weighed in on it as of yet but there has been some discussion among the posters about this.

Could it be possible that Bobby Cox is ready to step down as Manager of the Atlanta Braves? Considering he signed to manage another season. I, for one, would be somewhat stunned as a fan of the team. If this did happen, who would be your pick to replace Bobby as the manager of the Atlanta Braves?

Here is a list of guys I would pick from:
Terry Pendleton
Brian Snitker
Ned Yost
Fredi G.
or do we go outside the organization to get our manager?

If we went outside the organization, who do we go after that you all are interesting in?

I really do not care who it is really. As long as we win.

Another name that was tossed about was Chris Chambliss, the hitting coach down at our Triple A Richmond team, who has been a minor league manager. How about this name, Philip Wellman? Talking about someone who has energy and knows how to deal with young players.
