Never thought it would come to this but baseball is going to use Instant Replay. It will only use it to check Home Runs in series. Probably those that are close, like down the line. In a vote 25-5 by the GM's, MLB agreement with both unions of the umpires and players, this is the start date they came up with after 10 months of debate. Let's hope the Umps don't abuse this instant replay. Makes me wonder if they will eventually use it on close plays on the base pads and at Home Plate. |

All I can say is that it is about time. I thought that baseball needed instant replay for a long time now. |

So far, I don't think they have had to use it, which is probably a good thing. There have been close plays at the plate, which they could have used the instant replay. I wonder if they will implement that into instant replay next season. Umpires need to use this instant replay with good judgment, with Home Runs, if there is a questionable call, down the lines, fan interference, take a look at it. Plays at the plate, give the managers one or two appeals a game. We all know Bobby, his would be gone by the 3rd inning. LOL. |
