According to Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.com, the Red Sox and Phillies are interested in Mark Kotsay and in order for Kotsay to be included on the post season roster, this deal would have to be done by Sunday. One complication to any deal with either of these teams, is Kotsay has a limited no trade contract to about 8 teams, unsure if the Phillies and the Red Sox are on this list. Whoever gets Kotsay assumes the rest of his contract, which is about $1.5M. Correct me if I am wrong, doesn't this let the Braves off the hook, since we were paying him only $2M of his $8M contract? I wouldn't want to see Kotsay in a Phillies uniform, I could handle him in a Red Sox uniform. |

Probably not. All I know is Kotsay is not in the lineup and the broadcasters thought it was a little strange considering the trade rumors circulating around about Kotsay today. Just could be a LHP going for the Marlins, maybe a deal has been struck with either team mentioned and the Braves decided not to play him. Who knows? Haven't seen any reports on AJC.com, ESPN.com or FoxSports.com in regards to any trade. |

I think that Mark will be traded and we will see your guys precious Schafer. I would personally like to see Anderson before i see Jordan in the lineup. |

The trade has went down. Kotsay goes to the Red Sox for a Single A prospect. I hope Kotsay gets that ring with the BoSox. |
