Hey Dicks!! UK beat LSU last season if anyone remembers? Yea, the national champs left Lexington with a loss.

UK also beat Big lEast power UL last year when they were in the top 10.

UK is on the rise baby!!

it is when georgia's 4 biggest games arent against teams pushing to get into the top 25.

If thats the case then WVU's 4 biggest games are: USF (top 25), Rutgers (29th), Pittsburgh (31st). We lost Maryland this year which sucks because thats usually a good game. But 1 team in the top 25 and two pushing to be in the top 25. So its the same. And the Big East has seen teams come from no where to become legitimate top 25 teams by years end.

lol. um. reread. you just made my point for me.

Im not sure I agree. Vandy is good for one big win a year. But going 4-8 in 2006 while dropping 4 of their last 5 with the only win coming against Duke doesn't make them better competition.

better than what? they were before? syracuse? the 2nd best team in the big east? i would hope they aren't the latter, but i would say they are the former 2..

So now you're able to predict the entire football season rankings? Can I have some lottery numbers too?

really nite, you're reaching in desperation. it has nothing to do with the rankings themselves--it has to do with the quality teams, and the rankings were an illustration. actually, based on the last 3 years, WVU averages about 2 top 20 teams a year. and teams like conneticut could be undefeated at the time they play west virginia and id question their quality.

i mean honestly, look at UCONN's schedule last year. they beat a USF, and every other team they played that wasn't a high school squad they lost. and if you're really all that into bowl wins, they got beat by wake by 2 touchdowns--a team that was 4th best in the ACC last year.

Yes I'm aware of who the annual powers are in the SEC. UT won 10 games, out of 14. UConn won 9, out of 13. Both were 4 loss teams. If we're going off straight wins, Cincy had 10 wins, USF had 9, UConn had 9, Rutgers had 8.

except we arent going off straight wins. we're discussing the quality of those wins. come on now, i know you can do better than this...

As addressed before, cold weather affects warm weather teams more than warm weather affects cold weather teams. And pointing out that the southern boys would have to come up to Morgantown and play when its cold is a legit fact. Home fields and weather conditions are a huge part of football, especially college football.

and again, the fact that you are addressing a weather factor as an advantage for one team in the big east in an imaginary scenario that was used for the point of quality teams is humorous to say the least.

I still completely disagree with the notion that WVU would lose FOUR games just because they play in the SEC.

As for Duke, I'm rooting for Cut. I liked him when he was at Ole Miss, tho he isn't the best recruiter in the world and he tends to alienate about 25% of his players. He's probably a better QB coach/offensive coordinator than he is head coach.

Yeah, that may be true.

But he's a hell over the improvement over what Duke had.

We got somebody who is actually teaching and coaching the game.

He has worked the teams but off this spring in summer with his conditioning program. So now at least, Duke will be able to play a whole game. Which has been a huge problem the last couple years.
