Waiver Wire Starting To Heat Up

Well now that we are past the non waiver trading deadline, the waiver wire is heating up.

Brian Giles has been claimed on waivers, the rumor according to ESPN's Buster Olney is that the Boston Red Sox are the team who has placed claims on Giles. According to Olney, Giles can not stop the trade to the Red Sox if a deal is to go down between the Padres and BoSox. It seems they are one of the teams on his list he would go to and wouldn't stop the trade.

The Rays have place a claim on the ex-O's reliever Chad Bradford.

Should be interesting to see who else goes in the next couple of weeks? Wonder if the Braves are going to make any moves or stand pat?

The Phillies have gotten Scott Eyre. The Cubs let him go when they called the Ex-Notre Dame TE who also played baseball for Notre Dame and was drafted by the Cubs. Don't ask me to type or pronounce the name, it just ain't going to happen folks. With Tom Gordon struggling down in the minors, this might be a nice pick up for them. We will just have to wait and see.

I guess he did. That was what was being leaked to the media that he had a list of teams he would go to and the Red Sox were one of them, I guess he vetoed them.

OH WELL.
