anyone see the crap between Beltran, Manuel, and Runge (??), the home plate umpire. What a douche. The ump calls a curve a little low. Beltran makes a comment that it was low. Runge comes out from behind home plate, takes off his mask and stares down Beltran, who keeps looking down (not making eye contact). Manuel comes out to protect Beltran. Manuel gets bumped by Runge then gets thrown out. Beltran steps into box, Runge says something, Beltran reacts and gets tossed. |

The Ump was suspended for one game for instigating the contact between him and Manual. He will be serving the suspension immediately, this according to MLB.com. Apparently MLB looked at the tape and saw that the Ump was at fault not the manager or player. Finally, the ump gets to sit a game and should pay a fine too. |
