As a first basemen, he compares to a young Derrek Lee. he's so big that a move to first base is almost inevitable..but with freeman developing nicely (or if by some miracle we sign tex long term) im beginning to wonder if he couldnt play a decent corner outfield.

Everything you all have read about this stud, Heyward, he is everything and more. Freeman has flown under the radar and has developed very nicely to go with Jason.

I would say he's more of a LF given his arm. Generally, RF's have a stronger arm.

The best case scenario for the Braves is if Jason Heyward can play first, Gorkys Hernandez in left, Jordan Schafer in center, and have Jeff Francoeur in right. That is a great combo of average, speed and power. Plus, people are really underestimating Gorkys Hernandez. He is most likely going to be our leadoff hitter of the future.
