With Curt Schilling and John Smoltz having season ending surgery, Tom Glavine Struggling to stay healthy, Maddux possibly calling it quits after this season, and Mike Piazza already retired... This is what the 2013 HoF voting may look like: Greg Maddux: Win-Loss 350-217 Earned Run Average 3.12 Strikeouts 3,299 Gold Gloves 17 Cy Youngs 4 John Smoltz: Win-Loss 210-147 Saves 154 Earned run average 3.26 Strikeouts 3,011 Cy Youngs 1 Tom Glavine: Win–Loss 305–202 Earned run average 3.53 Strikeouts 2,604 Cy Youngs 1 Curt Schilling: Win-Loss 216-146 Earned run average 3.46 Strikeouts 3,116 Mike Piazza: Batting average .308 Home runs 427 Runs batted in 1,335 10x Silver Slugger Award 1993 NL Rookie of the Year Now, all of these guys can't get voted in all together can they? |

That is a HOF class if you ask me. I wonder if Maddux, Glavine and Smoltz will all wear Braves caps going into the HOF. Considering that Maddux has played for the Cubs and Padres too. Piazza and Schilling will have a decision to make on which cap they will wear since they played for multiple teams too. Now that is one hell of a pitching staff in their younger days plus you add Piazza as their catcher. Makes you wonder who else will go in in 2013. |
