So, the girl I've been chasing the last 6 months or so, agreed to go out with me last week, after I got her a rose blah blah blah long story... Anyway, she hates facial hair. Annnnnnd, I love my goatee and soul patch. The only time I've shaved either in the last year, was when I went to the movies with her a few weeks ago.... And I didn't enjoy doing that too much... Maybe I'll have to bargain with her. Say, I shave the goatee, and keep the soul patch.... |

Shave the goat and soul patch. When you're chasing a girl, give in on little things. My wife, when we first started dating, hated facial hair. I mean she wanted me to get rid of my sideburns! Well, I shaved when we first became a couple then after a couple of months, I grew a beard. She hated it and I told her I was keeping it. Then she got to where she liked it. She's gotten to the point where she likes me more with some facial hair now. I say just shave it for now. The girl will think you look too young and tell you to grow it back. Problem solved. |

Well, the point was that nite said she would realize it made you look too young...but you are young, so that part is kind of thrown out the window.

Ah, ok, I see I shaved for her when we went to the movies a few weeks ago(before we were dating.) 1. She didn't notice. 2. I HATED it. And my soul patch still hasn't grown back..... |

Want to know what I really think? Forget what she likes...it's your face...do what you want. One of my pet peeves is hearing women say they can't get their hair cut short because their husbands won't let them. Screw the husband...it's your hair! If she likes you, she'll like you with or without facial hair. Period. Edit: Unless, of course, it's just looks totally nasty...like a 3 feet long beard or something...

lol, true. Blah, I don't know. I'll shave it if that's what she really wants. And, she has short hair, and I like it! It's cute! |

I have to be on Allison's side on this one. If I can add one little thing and maybe it has been mentioned, it seems TCB is willing to make all the concessions here, shave his soul patch and goat too, TCB what has she given up for you that you might not like and have came out and stated that you don't like and would like to see changed. You can't always be the one giving and being the one taking, it has been mutual. She must be willing to give up and you must be willing take too. In order for this "relationship" to work, it must be equal giving and taking, not one sided and that is what it appears to be to me. She doesn't like something about you, whether it is your facial hear or something, you are willing to jump to make improvements. There is a time you must stand up for yourself. People will love you no matter what you look like, with or without facial hair. |

You could compare it to her not shaving her legs for about a month... |
